Other Sewers that I think are RAD.....
I have to give a shout out to my place of employment Intown Quilters Fabric & Yarn. We really do have cool stuff and great instructors.
Are you on the South Side of Atlanta? If you are check out the Green Apricot because she is rad! And she has one of the best studio spaces around. I go there and take classes, just hang out and teach there too. One of my favorite spaces!
Gertie's Blog for Better Sewing.
I actually met her at the Sewing Studio in NYC, I was making an awesome dress, that she liked. She may or may not remember.Go check out the dress I made there if you are interested.
MAKE Workshop - also in NYC
I took a class from Diana Rupp and she was super cool. Go here for a picture of us together.
Also when at MAKE I took a panty making workshop with designer Laura Mehlinger of Lola Haze.
She rocks and I love her stuff. I just am not her target market, size wise.
Thank you MOOD! Did you know that you can order MOOD fabrics on-line. Yep you can. No it is not as fun as going there, but alas I do live in the Atlanta area and not NYC so I gotta do what I can.
Anna Maria Horner is my favorite fabric designer!
Have you checked out Urban Threads? Well you should because they are pretty awesome!
